Boracay

Boracay teaches you that good things await those who are willing to subject themselves to rather tedious journeys.

The journey to Boracay may at first, not seem worth the effort. It involves an international flight to Manila, followed by a domestic flight to Caticlan (on one of those tiny propeller planes), followed by a boat ride to the island itself and culminates with a tuk-tuk ride to your hotel.

The destination however, is worth the tedium of getting there. With one of the most pristine white beaches (very uniquely named ‘White Beach’) that I have seen in Asia, multitudes of restaurants and bars, a very active night life, dirt cheap prices and reasonable diving/ snorkelling – it would tick most boxes for any beach lover.

If you are going to take four modes of transport to get all the way to Boracay, we recommend that you spend at least six days to recover before you have to make the return trip.
