Bali

Dive, surf, laze, drink, dance and, well, eat, pray, love too.

There’s just so much we love about Bali. The food is fabulous, the hotels are breathtaking and the people are just the nicest. And if that’s still not enough to convince you, they have visa on arrival, people!

If it’s a short getaway that you’re planning to Bali, watch out for Nyepi, a religious festival that falls sometime around March. It’s a day of complete silence during which, locals meditate and the city apparently gets quieter than a library. Everyone, including tourists have to abide by the local customs on this day. We got this valuable piece of information from our private butler at Villa Bali Asri. People in Bali are very friendly. Apart from the affable locals that you may bump into, talk to your hotel staff, concierge, and chauffeurs to get a real insight into traditional Balinese life. It’s intriguing to say the least.

We would recommend spending a minimum of 5 days in Bali to completely unwind.
